2) Drink water. 

 

Staying hydrated is essential for your health and will help you stay focused throughout the day.

 

Aim for a pint of water as soon as you wake up, especially before coffee. This will kickstart your metabolism, help with brain function and helps strengthen your immune system.

 

3) Move your body. 

 

Taking just a few minutes to stretch or go for a walk will help you get your blood flowing and wake up your body and mind.

 

If possible, do this in the fresh air. This will help with tiredness levels, a positive mindset and clarity.

 

4) Read. 

 

Whether it’s the news, a blog, or a book, reading for just a few minutes will help you start your day with new ideas and perspectives.

 

Reading also helps ease anxious thoughts and boosts creativity.

 

5) Tidy your space. 

 

Taking a few minutes to clear away clutter and clean up your workspace can help you start the day feeling organised and ready to take on whatever comes your way.

 

You can even go one better and set a 10-20 minute timer and clean your house – Make sure everything is in its place, run the vacuum around or put a load of washing on. Feeling on top of your life admin, not only helps with mental clarity, but it also means that when you finish work, you can just have that time for yourself.

 

6) Set goals. 

 

Taking the time to think about what you want to accomplish and how you’re going to get there will help you stay on track and motivated. 

 

One of the ways you can do this is by planning your day out and time-blocking it. That way, you have a clear structure to follow to ensure you get everything done.*
